Couples Massage: 60 & 90 minutes

A couple’s massage is when you and a friend each enjoy a massage side-by-side with two therapists that work at the same time.

Deep Tissue Massage: 60, 90 & 120 minutes

Deep tissue massage is best for giving attention to certain painful, stiff “trouble spots” in your body. The massage therapist uses slow, deliberate strokes that focus pressure on layers of muscles, tendons, or other tissues deep under your skin. Though less rhythmic than other types of massage, deep tissue massage can be quite therapeutic — relieving chronic patterns of tension and helping with muscle injuries, such as back sprain.

Hot Stone Massage: 60, 90 & 120 minutes

Hot stone massage therapy is an age-old treatment with the addition of heat for a modern twist. Water-heated, smooth stones are placed strategically on the body on key points—with or without pressure—for the ultimate in relaxation and pain relief.

Lymphatic Drainage: 60 minutes

Myofascial Release: 60 & 90 minutes

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.

Prenatal Massage: 60 & 90 minutes

Prenatal massage shares many of the goals of regular massage – to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. But it’s also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, and therapists who are trained in prenatal massage adjust their techniques accordingly.

Reiki: 60 & 90 minutes

Reiki is gentle energy work based on the belief that each of us has healing energy within us. When we are in optimum health, this energy is bright, balanced and flowing, but it can become diminished when we are stressed, ill, injured, or facing trauma or other life change. During a Reiki session, your therapist will place his or her hands on different areas of your body to promote the most healing flow of energy.  You may feel a lot of warmth through the therapist’s hands.  Some clients feel a tingling sensation, and most feel extreme comfort and deep relaxation.  Reiki can be practiced with anyone in any state of health, and the client can remain clothed, or may undress and be under the sheet as with traditional massage.  Reiki can also be blended into a Therapeutic Massage at your request.

SEATTL Method: 60 & 90 minutes

SEATTL METHOD: Soothing the Emotions After Trauma, Transition, or Loss

Our bodies can hold onto emotional stress, which can lead to fatigue, sleeplessness, chronic pain, and general malaise.  In times of major life change or grief, or when working through past trauma, the mind and body are often guarded, anxious, hyper-vigilant, or just plain exhausted.  The SEATTL Method is designed to help relieve some of that emotional stress from the physical body, and help you fell comforted, present and supported.  It is a healing blend that only Lisa Young practices, based on concepts of somatic bodywork, and developed through Lisa’s 20+ years of work with clients and studying body-brain connections and “The Psychology o the Body”.   Session usually include light to medium massage, along with energy work- Reiki, grounding techniques, rocking, gentle myofascial release (static holds and subtle stretches to encourage the connective tissue to let go of held patterns), and intuitive nurturing touch.   The SEATTL Method is gentle and personalized approach that can help relieve physical pain, improve vitality, and help you regain confidence and calm in your body, mind and surroundings.


Sports Massage: 60 & 90 minutes

Sports massage goes beyond promoting relaxation and pain relief.  It can help improve performance and prevent injury – in addition to helping the body recover from injuries associated with physical activity. Sports can be repetitive, especially for runners, cyclists, racquet sports players and weightlifters. Sports massage helps release that muscle tension and promote tissue repair and muscle balance for a safer next workout.

Swedish:  60, 90 & 120 minutes

The most common type of massage is Swedish massage therapy. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing. And it may even help after an injury.

Please let the therapist know if you have any recent surgeries, illness or medical problems.  In some cases, massage may not be appropriate.
Please refrain from eating a heavy meal within 2 hours of your massage.  For a therapeutic massage on a massage table, you will be asked to remove clothing to your level of comfort. Oil, Lotion or Creams used by the therapist to glide over and nourish the skin.  Always let the therapist know if you feel any discomfort or have any questions.  During massage, toxins are released from your muscles so it is always important to drink plenty of water after your session to eliminate these toxins from your body. Not doing so can lead to nausea and an achy feeling.
